  • Sumner NZ National Pool Championship Results

    Well done to all the sumner athletes who recently competed at the Surf Life Saving New Zealand Pool Champs in Auckland over the weekend!!

     

    A fantastic effort by all! We had some excellent results.

     

    In the junior section we had:

    KATELYNN DONALDSON, BEN ISLES, FLYNN GREIG, NATASHA MAC GIBBON
    Under 14 Mixed - 200 4x50m Medley- 3rd and the Under 14 Mixed - 200 4x50 Obstacle Relay- 3rd

     

    In the senior section we had:

    CASSIE WRIGHT- a solid effort gaining 2 bronzes in the,
    Open Women - 100 Manikin Tow with Fins- 3rd and Women - 200 Super Lifesaver-3rd

     

    THOMAS MAC GIBBON
    Under 16 Men - 50 Manikin Carry- 3rd.

     

    NAOMI DARVILL AND CASSIE WRIGHT
    Open Women - Line Throw- 3rd

     

    HARRISON TUCKER, MATTHEW PHILLIPS, TAIKO TOREPE-ORMSBY AND THOMAS MAC GIBBON.
    Open Men - 200 4x50 Open Obstacle Relay- 3rd

     

    Well done to everyone for their efforts! There were plenty more 4ths and 5ths!

     

    A special mention and thank you needs to go to Lawrence Taylor for his contribution to this sport over the last 10 plus years!! This marks Lawrence's last event as Sumners Coach, as he moves to Aussie. He has made a significant contribution and really developed pool champs within sumner over the past years. We wish him all the best! We are all going to miss this legend!
